Dr Chester Kumar
Dr. Chester Kuma is a highly respected medical practitioner from the Solomon Islands, whose career spans more than 30 years across the Pacific. With advanced qualifications in surgery and endoscopy, he has served in key leadership roles, including as former Director of Adventist Health Services for the South Pacific. More than just a clinician, Dr. Kuma is deeply committed to whole-person healing, a philosophy rooted in both medical science and biblical principles. His work reflects the timeless truth found in 3 John 1:2: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” Whether mentoring young health workers or guiding community well-being initiatives, Dr. Kuma brings wisdom, compassion, and a Christ-centered approach to healing. He believes that true health arises from restoring not only the body, but the mind and spirit — echoing Christ’s ministry of restoration and wholeness.
